Kids Ministry

"Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.

Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame

when they contend with their opponents in court."

Psalm 127:3-5

There are two main groups of children: those who are churched and attend regularly, and those who the church must reach in the many communities we have a witness in. Within the churched group, some are born again and growing as disciples, whereas others are still coming to that experience. We must keep the Gospel of Christ central to our discipleship journey.

Our kids leaders really love Jesus and love children, which is why they are faithful in leading our many kids ministries. They partner with the parents and the local church, and are continually trusting the Holy Spirit to lead them in effectiveness.

Regionally, we are led by Jonathan and Joanne Pardey and an Exco team from various churches. This team hosts an annual Kids Indaba where the focus is on relationships, training, and seeking God. This team is very available to assist churches and answers many calls for help, and provides various tools for discipleship. Presently, we are working on a Ministry Philosophy document and a Making Disciples course to go with our foundations course and other teaching series.

For those seeking to be full-time children’s ministers, the Ministry School has a Kids Track which seeks to equip and develop apostolic kids leaders for our region and beyond. Kids matter to God and they in no way receive a junior Holy Spirit. We believe in them growing in Jesus and being able to serve in the local church and to reach out to their friends at school.
